Consolidated Squadron Reports (CSRs)
|
|
Did your Squadron file a CSR? You can check the list at www.wisal.org/consolidatedreport/
Some of of you may be seeing reports coming from Department about what Squadrons have submitted their CSRs. That information is coming from National who are very far behind in processing SAL CSR’s. Rest assured that if your Squadron is listed on our site, National has your report. They just may not have processed it yet. There is no need to send in another copy or attempt to file it online – both scenarios are apt to cause confusion and delays in processing.

55th Detachment Convention in Appleton
|
|
I would like to personally invite all squadrons to participate in our Detachment (State) Convention in Appleton, Wi on July 12-14, 2024. Our Detachment Convention is a mix of business and celebration. The three primary activities we will complete during the Convention are:
- Handing out Awards (more than 80 Squadrons receiving awards at this Convention)
- Electing new Officers.
- Acting on any relevant Resolutions.
With regards to the Election of Officers and voting on Resolutions, only Delegates to the Convention are able to vote. Each Squadron is allowed a certain number of delegates, which is based upon the Squadron Membership as of 45 days before Convention (this year is May 28th). The calculation for determining number of delegates is as follows per our Constitution & Bylaws:
In the Sons of The American Legion Detachment of Wisconsin, each Squadron shall be entitled to one (1) delegate for every ten (10) members plus one (1) delegate for any fraction thereof, and one (1) alternate delegate for each delegate, based upon the actual membership.
See below under Convention Resources for the agenda, your delegate counts, registration, and more. All of which is also available under wisal.org/convention.
Also, please know Convention is open to all members, even if they are not a delegate. So please do not restrict attendance to only your Delegates.
We have a lot to celebrate this year, it would be awesome if your squadron was represented at this event. I hope to see members from your Squadron there!!
For God and Country,
Allen J Watry
Wisconsin Sons of The American Legion
Detachment Commander
