Our Goals for 2022-2023

Detachment Commander Fuller outlined our goals for 2022-2023.  These goals are going to require all of us to work together to achieve them.

Work with The American Legion, The American Legion Auxiliary, and The American Legion Riders on program and projects to benefit:
  • Our veterans
  • Active duty military
  • Their families and communities

Raise funds for our charitable projects: Membership:
  • 105% Membership total.
  • Retain 90% or more of our current members.
  • Charter or reactivate 5 squadrons
Consolidated Reports:
  • Have all squadrons submit a consolidated report

Commander Fuller has every confidence in us to do this!

What a year it was!

Together, with only 32 of 112 active squadrons reporting, here is what you did.

You gave 39,875 hours of service to your veterans, your children, to your communities, state, and nation.

You contributed $210,106 of your hard-earned money to your programs.

That produced a combined economic impact value of $1,404,363!

Give yourselves a huge pat on the back!!

You can see the details of what you accomplished here.

Triple Nickel!?

It was an outstanding membership year:

New Squadrons - 5
  • 12 Spooner
  • 145 Random Lake
  • 215 Pardeeville
  • 240 Baldwin
  • 291 Augusta
General numbers:
  • 112 Squadrons, 108 different cities and villages
  • 52 of 72 Counties
  • All 12 Districts
  • National Goal is 3,914
  • 4,118 Total Members for 105.21%
100 % Membership
  • 100 Squadrons reached 100%
  • 11 of 12 Districts reached 100%
 All Time High Membership
  • 28 Squadrons
  • In 10 Districts
 Renewal Rate of 93.25%
  • 89 Squadrons with 90+% Renewal Rate
Did we get it?

At convention time we were about 86 members short of achieving the required 105% as part of the criteria for a Triple Nickel.  An inspirational message delivered by National Commander Michael Fox about being the host Detachment for the National Convention provided what could be called divine intervention.

Following the convention, an individual stepped forward and made a generous contribution of $1,080.00 to renew 90 memberships, putting us over the top.  Last week that donation was put into motion and those renewals were processed.  At that time, there had been 76 squadrons at 100%.  This contribution kicked that up to 100.  Was your Squadron one of them?  See the results on the 7/21/2022 membership report.

Yes we did!!!

Because of the 5 new squadrons,
and better than 85% renewal rate
and total membership at 105% or better of goal
Wisconsin has earned the TRIPLE NICKEL!!!

But wait, there is more!

Word has it there are memberships still coming in from a few more squadrons.  There may be one more 2022 membership report yet this month.

Awards

233 awards were earned by 81 different squadrons. You can see the full results here.
