Still time to register for Detachment Convention!

The 51st Annual Detachment Convention will take place July 19-21 in Middleton. Full registration info is available at www.wisal.org/convention.

Come meet your Detachment Officers, there will be National Guests there as well. Be part of the discussions and setting the direction for our future!

National Convention in Indianapolis

If you've never been to a National Convention, it is worth the trip. It is not too far away this year in Indianapolis August 23-25.

Convention National Dues Increase Discussion

At our Detachment Convention, we will discuss proposals being presented by the National Finance Commission and other Detachment to raise the National dues.

You currently send in $9.00 per member. Of that, $2.00 goes to the national level to fund our operations. National dues were last increased in 1982! That's right, 37 years ago!

There are a few proposals to raise the National dues by $3.00. One Detachment has proposed raising them by $5.00.

All the proposals would have this become effective on June 1, 2020, just under a year from now.

Come the Detachment Convention and let us know your thoughts, and how you want Wisconsin's delegates to represent you at the National Convention.

2020 Membership Cards

The 2020 Membership Cards just arrived at Department Headquarters. They will be mailed to your Legion Post address of record very soon. Please check with whomever manages your Legion Post mail. If you do not have your cards by July 12th please contact us: www.wisal.org/contact
